Who I am

This website is run by Elodie Alamkan, photographer (Elodie Alamkan Photography). I am the data controller for the personal data described below. You can reach me at contact@elodieaphotography.com.

What I collect, and why

The contact form. When you write to me through the form I receive what you type: your name, email address, the kind of session you are enquiring about, where and when it would take place, how many people will join, your message, your budget (a free-text answer), and whether you would like to receive occasional updates by email. Only name, email, type of enquiry, place and date are required.

I use this information to reply to you and, if you wish, to prepare a quote. This is necessary to answer your request before any contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). If you tick the updates box, I will also send you occasional news and inspiration by email, based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw it at any time.

Protection from spam. The form includes a hidden field and a timing check that stop automated messages. They do not track you and nothing is stored about them.

Technical data. Like any website, the server that hosts this site may record technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running (Art. 6(1)(f), legitimate interest).

Who receives your data

Only me and the providers that make the site and my email work: the web hosting company (Hostinger) and my email provider (Google Workspace). These providers process data on my behalf and may do so outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards required by law. I do not sell your data and I do not share it for advertising.

How long I keep it

If we work together, I keep your messages and booking details for as long as the work and the legal, tax and accounting obligations require. If we do not, I keep your enquiry for a reasonable period in case you write again (about two years) and then delete it. If you ask me to delete it earlier, I will.

Cookies and third parties

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Some content is loaded from other companies, which receive your IP address when it loads and may set their own cookies: the Instagram feed at the bottom of the pages (provided by LightWidget) and the typefaces (Google Fonts). The links to other websites, including Instagram, are governed by those websites’ own policies.

Your rights

You can ask me to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Write to contact@elodieaphotography.com and I will reply within a month. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority; in Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
